The numbers are lower than we would normally expect and we think this is because of the bad weather. People are bedding down early to stay warm. It was another cold and windy night and rained on and off.

Daniel was in a bad way this week. It was his 22nd birthday during the week and he went on a downer as none of his family will have anything to due with him. He couldn’t buy any alcohol as he had no money so started self harming again. He even tried to commit suicide but the police found him. He needs our prayers and someone to take an interest in him. He is still going to college but feels utterly worthless at the moment.

A young girl came late to the kitchen. Her boyfriend had tried to hang her during the week and she had just been discharged from hospital. She is staying at her mams and sisters when they will put her up.

Tommy came for a cup of tea but didn’t stay long due to the weather, he rarely has any food at the kitchen.

Peter and his friend were suffering the effects of alcohol. They brought some cans to the kitchen but I asked them not to drink it and they obliged.

We were able to give a leaflet of the facilities available to a young man who has just become homeless. We were also able to give him a sleeping bag and some gloves.

The clothing we get donated is going down well. We continue to need men’s coats and jeans or tracksuit bottoms.

As always your prayers are greatly appreciated.
