For the first time this year we didn’t need to put the lights on to see! It was a lovely warm night and made a welcome change.

Peter was suffering from a swollen leg this week. He has had problems with DVT in the past and was worried it might be the same thing again. He has a fear of hospitals but said he would go to one of the walk in centres on Monday and have it looked at.

One of regulars was in Durham prison on Friday, as he had met with Jim, so we surprised to see him at the kitchen. He has been released on bail until June. He has managed to keep his flat and seems to be doing ok.

Two guys, Tony and Lee are homeless and living on the streets. They were grateful for the food and we were able to give them the list of other facilities available during the year.

Sean is considering Betel. He is going to speak to his probation worker. He is fed up of being on the streets and has tried virtually all of the hostels but has issues with alcohol addiction.

Daniel was no better than last week. He is self harming and had a meeting during the week with his health worker. They are keeping an eye on him and he had a follow up meeting on Monday.

Jim brought some cakes from their church this week and they went down well. We also received some food from Simonside Arms which was available for them to take away.

Carl will be working next Sunday so Wendy and Richard have offered to drive the van as I am still unable to drive.

As always your prayers are greatly appreciated.
