TEESSIDE KITCHEN DIARY

w/c 8th August 2011

Monday

Please pray for these clients and the huge daily problems they face.

Please pray too that what NEHL is able to do will have a positive effect on the lives of all our clients.

Tuesday

James, a very vulnerable  long time client we all worry about,  is  back on the scene after some weeks of absence.  He is sleeping rough and looks worse than ever.  He doesn’t trust anyone except John.

A very busy kitchen.  Maz, a regular client with a variety of problems, has been locked up again for the night drunk. She went to court and got 8 weeks in Low Newton.  Hopefully this might be an opportunity to do detox while in prison. She is keen to do so but has had many setbacks in getting through a whole detox programme.

Good news for Chris who is moving back in with his parents in Redcar.

John, a client, is losing his memory.  He is getting his days mixed up through long term heavy use of alcohol.

Sharon, an ex heroin user, is now getting contact with her two children. We hope this will be a positive step for them and for her.

A very quiet kitchen where only ten clients attended.  The weather may have been a factor.

Sandy, a  guy in his forties coming down from a high on drugs, was very jumpy and could not sit still.

An ex-Paratrooper who served in Bosnia came to the kitchen. He has been sleeping rough in a local Churchyard.
