Denis was upset. He has split with his girlfriend because of his heavy drinking.

Martin was jumped by gang as he was sleeping rough in the park .

Vicky is   in jail for 2 weeks for an assault on a police officer.

Lisa had been hit by her partner.  The police were called and they sorted it out.

David was in a very poor state, fighting over a bottle of cider.

Cassy  is  looking bad now, due to being back  on cocaine.

Ian was happy that he’d got new flat in town.

Emily brought a birthday cake for Ailsa , who was touched by the kind thought.
