Changes at NEHL - August 2012

It is with great sadness that we report that Brian McAnaney, Street Work Manager and Trust stalwart will leave us on 31st August.   Brian’s association with the Trust goes right back to his friendship with the Founder of the work, Walter Wilkinson.  Brian was first a volunteer and then an energetic, enthusiastic and effective employee of the Trust.  Many clients throughout our region have reason to be glad of his caring, empathetic and practical approach and to be thankful for his commitment to the aims of the Trust.

We wish him well in all future work, knowing that he will continue to show God’s love in action in his daily work with the homeless and disadvantaged,  which God has inspired and equipped him to do.

Since December 2004 we have been generously supported in our work by the provision of a preparation kitchen at Hope House in Newton Aycliffe.  We are immensely grateful to Reachout Care for their great kindness. Changing circumstances, however, have brought this arrangement to an end and we are in the process of acquiring accommodation in which to do our food preparation for the Middlesbrough, Stockton and Darlington street kitchens  Monday  – Thursday each week.  Please pray that the process goes smoothly.
